iron work on a curved fence

trying to do this iron work on a curved fence using profiles to represent the iron
however it is quite difficult to to get it to align on a curved railing
any curvy fence specialists out there

You mean like this?

Did the 2D elevation in Revit, but had to go to 3DS Max to curve it...

If the pattern is regular, you should be able to use the new curtain wall panels...
