Trouble with detail callout

I created a detail view using the callout tool. I would like to create a similar detail that is cut above the ceiling level, but below the roof level.

I guess I am asking how to set the 'cut plane' elevation...?

How can I achieve this? Let me know if I have left out any important information.

You can create and elevation view of the object then cut a secion looking down on the object at any level. Or you can create plan callouts and set the cutplane thru the view range tab.

Right. When you create a callout you have the option of making it a detail callout or floor plan callout. You choose your option from the type selector. Detail callouts do not have cut planes, since they can be used in either the horizontal or vertical plane.
