I am an administrator on my standalone vista 64 business computer.

When working with Revit it crashed and automatically created a *(recovery).rvt file, which it has done before. In this instance the recovery file is corrupt and therefore of no use. When I try to delete it from the hard drive on this computer a "Recycling 1 item (73.3 MB)" window pops up and appears to be working...on what I don't know. I have left this window "working" for hours at a time with no results. My only option is to cancel this operation. I have and can delete other *.rvt files. Any ideas?

i had a similar problem and had to disable thumbnails for revit files.

Click on the Start button.

Choose All Programs, right above the search box.

Click on the Accessories folder and then the Windows Explorer link.

After Windows Explorer loads, click on the Organize button and choose Folder and Search Options from the menu.

In the Folder Options window, click on the View tab.

Under the Files and Folders heading, check the box next to Always show icons, never thumbnails.

Click the OK button.

I tried Unlocker 1.8.7, but it doesn't work with Vista 64. The problem persists.
