I'm trying to crop a floor plan but I've noticed that the grid lines won't crop. The walls etc. do but the grid lines remain outside of the cropped region line. This problem is in 6.1, btw. is there anyway around this or do I have to to manually move the lines?

Gridlines and annotations are allowed outside the crop region for cases like wall sections and callouts where you want to see the grid heads and not have them cropped. You can move the grids in each view as you need to and they all move together so its pretty quick to set up each view. Note scope boxes will keep groups of gridlines associated and a set spacing away from the scope box in each view.

You need to set scope boxes to control the extent of datums.
Scope boxes act similarly to crop regions, but you can associate visibility and control the extent of the datum by using them.

OK, I'd never heard of scope boxes before so I'll give that a go.
Thanks guys.
