Recessed wall

Hello,
I have a recessed wall situation (with a masonry wall core and plaster finish wrapped around on all sides.) I would like the plaster line to wrap around the wall neatly, but it does not do so.(Fig 1)
I tried to remove the vertical wall pieces, disjoined the wall as shown in the next illustrations (tried a join geometry as well), but that clearly does not work either….(Fig 2/Fig 3)
Is there an easy way to do this, or am I missing out on something glaringly obvious?

Have you tried adjusting to "wraps at ends" under Properties
in the wall type?

There is a way to make it work, by somehow clicking or double-clicking on the wall end grips or something (without dragging them). I remember seeing a thread about it a couple years back.
