i use railing to create snow guard on the roof, it looks fine in the model.
the problem is the railing can not be perpenticular the roof which is slope.
could someone tell me if i can rotate the railing or i have to create a new family?
why can not I change the work plane of railing to roof surface?

See Attached Family...

i see ur family, pretty nice. i try to creat my own as yours.
one question is when i change the space from 2' to 18"in your family, it does not work well. the distance between each piece is not 18".
could you tell me how i can ?

16" O.C. Works, you just need to make sure that the rail length conforms to a 16" module. I.E. 16, 32, 48, 64

Line Based Family might give you the same rule structure and ease of use - but will associate itself you the roof edge. Just a thought.
