structure gone? Why, when I erase a structure out of 1 profile it removes it from another. I didn't delete the structure, I just don't want to see it.

You have to remove the structure using the Profile View properties. Go to the Pipes tab and uncheck the structure or pipe you don't want shown.

In older versions, that is true. In the current version, you should just be able to use the erase command when in the profile view. Hence my question on which version.

Erase command still removes the part in all profile views in my version of Civil 3D2010 version 3.

I am using 10, and it is erasing it out of all profiles. I will uncheck it in the profile view.


This was one of my wishes last year to only see structures and pipes within a certain distance of the alignment. This project I’m working on is 5000 lf & jogs back and forth. It wants to show structures way on up the hill. I don’t need to see a structure that is 4000 feet away. The alignment crosses the street, and takes a 90 deg turn it will (a few pages away) be within 15’ of the alignment.
