Is it possible to do the material takeoff of the imported dwg files?
If not, do you ask your subs to do the material takeoff in their own native software? For stuff like types of ductwork, hydraulic piping, electrical hangers, etc.
The current situation is that only the architectural file is created in Revit, but everything else is imported as (.dwg) file. This is not a problem if I do the clash detection in NavisWorks, but I think this is a problem if I want to do a material takeoff, thanks in advance.
