Hi,
Could anyone advise on the best way to create this truss as a parametric object (in terms of setting out the reference planes/lines)
I want to be able to change the following:
1) Width truss
2) Depth of left end
2) Depth of right end
Ultimately I want to assign tubular steel-like geometry to the planes.
Thanks in advance for your help.

If you're on Subscription, you might want to wait a few days:
Revit Architecture gets all the features they wanted from a Revit Structure Port:
Curved beams
Beam copping
Create Trusses
Tag beam systems
Slab directions and decking
Slanted columns
Split with Gap

Yes I'm on subscription and will definitely be availing of the update/new release!
Still interested though how I might go about setting this truss up.

HereĀ“s an really quick example of how it could be done... feel free to break it apart, and see what I did...
The basics: Use ref. planes to do the horizontal and vertical planes > use a chained ref. line for the braces, create a sweep, and pick the ref. lines as the sweep path. lastly, do two more sweeps for the top and bottom cords... and join the geometris toghether.

Thank you so much for the example!
Tried to do it myself but I can see where I was going wrong with your sample.
Thanks again.

Just one more question!
Is there a way to attach each end to a face of a column (without loading the columns in as a nested family)?
Thanks
Paul
