We are attempting to create a service analysis plan and schedule and are having some trouble with the method in which to approach it.
We have a room that has repeated bays within it and want to create a schedule for it. Is there a way to detail out equipment in one of the bays for the room and tell the schedule to multiply that count by 26 (bays) to show the total for the whole room? Can we add a column that can act as a multiplier for the counts of each item?
I know we can detail everything in each bay, but if we need to make changes we have to make 26 changes instead of 1 change to the schedule.
Advice? Solutions?

You could place the equipment in one room and then Group it.
Then place 26 Groups.
Editing the Group once will update all 26.
This is assuming the equipment goes in the same place in each Room, of course.

You cmight also be able to add "Count" and "Number of Bays" parameters to your schedule and set-up "Count" to calculate based on "Number of Bays." Probably slightly tricky, but it should work with the right parameter configurations. Probably would require some manual input somewhere, too.

One potential issue with using a Count and a Calculated field is that you may not be able to add a Tag to your plans that shows this value.
Project Parameters and Calculated Values cannot appear in Tags.

That is correct. Not sure if OP wants to show count on plans or on schedule. I'd settle for the scheduled value, I think.

I havn't had success at adding the count parameter yet, I still have to look into some of the basics of that set up.
I have tried adding the groups to make these changes and it has worked well except that when I have to add that group to a wall at a different angle, I can't rotate it before I place it so all my wall based elements disappear and it forces me to "fix group" which gets rid of some elements in all the groups. If I can fix that problem the group will work well.
