OK here's the deal. One of my drafters uses repeating detail items to make a slanted roof line more realistic i/s of the boxy thing with vertical lines that it is today. The roof tiles lay on top of each other which looks just pretty on screen.
But when it's printed, the drawing order for detail items get messed up. It looks like things get masked first and only then the outlines are drawn. In other words, we're seeing more lines than we're supposed to. It looks ugly. One work around would be to switch from Vector to Raster processing, but then it either looks like second-hand carp or the plotter runs out of memory and crashes. We've also tried printing to PDF but that gives the same result.
all this used to work great in Revit 2009. We've tried re-saving the detail family as a Revit 2010 family and reload it, but no luck.
What gives? How can I make it WYSIWYG again? Any useful advise would be very appreciated.
