I'm having a problem with a family with visibilty graphics and I'm not quite sure how to solve it. I have a ceiling mounted video screen. The PM wants to see the outline of the actual monitor on the floor plan without the ceiling mounted support and post and on the ceiling plan he wants to see the square ceiling mounted plate and the post without the screen outline. I'm not sure how to seperate out the visibility for certain extrusions to be in plan and certain extrusions to be in ceiling.

Hmm that's odd, so he doesn't want to see the screen itself in either view? Not even in the RCP?

I guess I wasn't clear. He wants to see a long rectangular dashed box in plan that would represent the monitor. In the ceiling plan he only wants to see the square ceiling mounted bracket and the round post support and not the monitor.

Yeah that's what I mean. Seems odd to not see the monitor in an RCP.

Well it's like halfway between the floor and the ceiling. It's mounted at eye level.

I would agree that it seem odd not to see it on the ceiling plan....
You can do it with a combination of subcategories and visibility graphics settings. Not the most automatic, but can get you what you want.
