"Cannot save while message displayed"

I'm experiencing some major instability issues running a more than capable machine.
Worksharing enabled, and I'm the only active user at the moment.
Network activity is normal.

Problem at the moment is that I'm unable to save or perform any action. Everything is greyed out and the moment I attempt to close out of the program so that I force a prompt save, I receive the following message.

"Saving is not allowed while a message box is displayed. Close or cancel the message and then save again."

I have searched every View in the PB... Can't seem to find any reason why Revit thinks there's an open dialog... Just before this happened it felt like it was going to crash, but instead it found its way halfway between earth and pluto...

I should add I'm running RAC 2010, Update 2. XP Pro x64, 8gb ram

Following up, I should add that I ruled out the 'Worksharing Monitor' as being the problem. What a great idea for a secondary app, however I wouldn't recommend using it if you're looking to meet deadlines. The app must interfere w/ Revit as our users have experienced crashes and unexplainable occurences...

It makes sense how Autodesk has not incorporated this tool into the program as of yet. When it becomes fully supported, perhaps we'll see its' benefits.

I have just run into this issue as well. I'm running Revit Architecture 2010 on a windows XP Pro machine. I've been using the Worksharing Monitor for a long time now and have never gotten this error before. Anyone have any ideas on what this is and how to get out of it and save?

thought I'd revive this, as I still struggle with this one once in awhile. found this thread which apparently works, but I can't seem to get it to work for me.
