%%C instead of Diameter

I'm working with a drawing that was made in CAD Duct software. The callouts for duct diameter come in as %%C instead of diameter. It doesn't seem to matter which version of autocad I use (MEP 2009 or 2010), I have all the latest object enablers, and the guy that works in the next cube does not have the same problem. Any ideas what's causing this?

Do you have the same fonts installed? Are you looking at the same location for SHX fonts?
