File Linking

When a MEP file is linked into an Arch file it is 'on' in all views by default. Can an inserted file be loaded 'off' in lieu of 'on'?

Create a workset that is off by default and move the link to the workset.

Its also a good idea to keep the Linked Models on their own workset anyway, as then you can selectively load/unload it from the workset dialogue. I find this to be MUCH more amicable than using the Manage Links. Reason? Manage Links is project wide, Loading worksets is a user setting. Then you also dont have to worry about whether or not someone else was loading/unloading the links throughout your day. In fact, we have no need for people to be in the manage links dialogue at all, aside from reloading things.

A second benefit is that MEP files get heavy. Having them on a workset not visible by default is nice for the views, but having that workset not LOADED is nicer for the machine and the user.

Plus, if anything gets haywire or corrupted in their model, you can selective load at the beginning and not have to deal with it interfering... Although you could rename the linked file to eliminate it too...
