I have a vertically compound wall with brick on both faces and a concrete core. The actual sizes and materials of the layers in the wall don't seem to affect my problem, which is that the face of the layer that gets raised isn't the same material as the core. In this case, the concrete core that I raise higher than the bricks has a brick face instead of concrete. Does anyone know why this is happening and if I can update it without needing to paint the concrete material onto the face of every instance of this wall? Thanks.

Instead of raising the core layer, what if you make the entire wall taller and then pull down your face layers, leaving the core alone? Does that make any difference?

The result is the same, unfortunately.
