I have a project that I am working on and I can't get the radial grid lines to extend up. When I layed them out I only had a one story model. All of the other grid lines will move up (grow taller) except the radial grids. I thought if I placed a scope box arount the project and named that with the grid line it would extend up, but it doesn't. All it does is extend the grids out to the scope box in plan only.

Any Ideas?

I believe te issue is that Revit cannot display a grid which is not perpendicular to the view.

We had this issue on a hotel job that had a curved tower footprint. The grids, which were curved in plan to match the shape of the tower, would not appear in elevations.

It's frustrating at first, but once you think about it it does make sense.
Where would the grid actually be depicted, depending on where the elevation
view's cutting plane intersected the grid?

Our solution was to place "dummy grids" in elevations, as the true radial grids
do not appear.

Not a good answer--but part of the reality of Revit. I'm curious as to how other BIM
apps like Archicad, Bentley, Digital Project, etc. handle this?

cheers........
