Hi,

I have a 5 dynamic blocks with attributes in a drawing. They are in 5 different Layouts. (Titleblock text)

When I select the block I can see the attribute values in the properties palette

But on another users machine when he selects the block he does not see the attribute values in the properties palette

I assume it is probably a variable or something but I can't seem to find out what it is.

I have not seen this issue before. I found 1 Post here with the same problem but it was unanswered

Any ideas?

Off the top of my head... Try setting the sysvar ATTDISP (ie. ATTtribute DISPlay) and set the value to "Normal"

thanks,

but unfortunately it is not that variable.

That just controls whether attributes are displayed on screen or not.

Not sure what else it could be ... just thinking any possibility, is the Attribute grouping maybe minimized on his PC? See the screen capture attached.

Is the problem DWG saved to an earlier version file? What versions are you using (both release version, eg 2009 & vertical eg ACA). Lastly is there maybe some error in the DWG ? (audit or recover) This could become a prob if your PC's differ with RAM (or such).

So I have done some more checks. We are both using Civil 3d 2008.
Although this user is using Civil 3d as Autocad 2008.

When he uses Civil 3d as Civil 3d he can see the attributes.

The profile he is using is the same as his departments standard profile set up for Autocad 2008.

On other users machines where only Autocad 2008 is installed & using the same standard profile the attributes are visible on the Properties palette.

So I am actually still none the wiser at the moment. But if that should change I'll be sure to post

What about trying using the ATTSYNC command on theblock?

What about trying using the ATTSYNC command on theblock?I'd say maybe if the attribs displayed wrong on all PC's. But it seems that it's only on the one PC while on all others it's fine.

Try importing a profile from another PC ... you may have to also look at Workspaces (although that's a lot more difficult to import).

Apparently, there's a bug (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?97997-Properties-palette-doesn-t-show-block-attributes&p=1164056&viewfull=1#post1164056) responsible. :(
