Can't import CAD files

I am trying to import a simple CAD file of a simpson connector. No matter what I choose, manual from base point, from origin...etc, when I select a file to import, simply nothing happens, when importing into a project or a family? Has anyone ran into this?

Sometimes, when importing .dwg files, the origin is WAY of.... have you tried to import, and then "Zoom all to fit" ?

Yes, I've ran into that before. But in this case, the .dwg(s) were not being imported at all :? ....that was last night. I just started Revit back up and tried it again,....now it is working just fine? Odd.

I just downloaded 2010 and installed it about 4 days ago. Since then, along with this .dwg probelm, It has 'save as and exited' on me once and has just plain quit with no warning 5-6 times. So I make sure I save about every 5 min. for fear of losing my work at any given moment. Seems kind of unstable?

I just downloaded 2010 and installed it about 4 days ago.

...and then you installed the update SP2? (or from subscription center, you can get SP3 now)

This is my current build. 20090925_1815. I downloaded several things after installing 10', just not sure about SP3 you mentioned. I'll have to check it out.
