Could someone please take a look at the attached and let me know why part of a word is in my arch.shx font and the other is in Arial.ttf? This only occurs in 2010 when I switch to 2008 everything is ok, as you will see in the attached.
I have no idea.... I don't work in 2010, but I've never seen anything like that before.
I don't know why letters in the same text string would be a different font.... :screwy:
I'll be looking to see if someone provides an explaination and reslolution.

Are there any formatting strings in the text?
Can you write the text to a separate file and post it here?

It's mtext, attribute text, and dtext. Just as I type here. The text is input correctly in autocad 2010, closed, and then several days later opened by me again and I get what you saw in my attachment. This particular file has several different ltscales, but others in the office have had a similar problem. My initial solution was to change the fontalt to blank but that doesn't work anymore. So now do I go back to Autocad 2008?

What happens if your create a new style using, say, Romans.shx ?
(I expect there are people who would pay for that ability if the method could be controlled)
