Okay, here goes.

I have (as usual) created a roof over my house...

I have a strange horizontal cut at the base of the roof edge (see attached)

The only difference to most roofs I make is that there is one of the 'defines slope' angles is different.

when I remove the different slope, the roof works fine.

Any suggestions?

One of the angles is different, so its adjusting the Eave height, would be my guess. Go in to sketch mode and hit align eaves, and click one of the *normal* slope defining lines. Does a strange dimension show up on these two lines?

If the slopes are different, one of the following HAS to be true:

1. Those eaves are lower/higher than the rest
2. There is a funky edge trim condition present (what you have)
3. Things dont line up at the corners.

Mathematically, its the only way it can happen...

Looks to me like the roof eave is set to Two Cut - Plumb, with a fascia depth defined in the roof properties.
