Hey there,

I have been having problems with RAC2010. Some items not printing to PDF.
The latest:

Printing a Site Plan with a DWG underlay of the Survey when in B&W view. If I change it to Shading with Edges, it prints fine. Not even in Wire Frame.
Only a few "key" text items from the DWG is what is not printing; however, it is critical info. (ie: property line dimensions & bearings)
Anyone else have this happening? Very unsettling.

And, yes. I have filed a support request to which they provided me an FTP site to upload the project. I am sending it today.

I will keep you posted.
Steve

We've had a similar issue once in Revit though frequently get that in AutoCAD. The Revit issue was resolved for us by restarting Revit. It was a memory problem. We had random walls and other items missing. They tended to be the same walls throughout the set. The person who had plotted them had Revit running all day and then plotted at the end of the day so the machine was basically low on memory. His particular machine also only had 2G of available RAM.

I don't know if that helps you or not. For us it was a memory problem. Maybe it's something similar for you.

Hey there,
Thank you for your reply; however, that is not the issue this time.
Thank you

Hey Steve,

Check that you are using the latest version of Direct3D driver for your OS.

Also check that the printer is using the computer's memory and not its own cache.

Hey there Bruce,
Thank you. Just one question....
How do I check that the printer is using the computer's memory vs cache?
Thanks in advance
Steve

I've had to print raster in 2010 again for the first time in years to get things to print to pdf. Sucks, takes a long time.

Hey Scott
I was hoping not to hear that answer here.
Looking forward to seeing you and hearing your class.
