We have stumbled or created a situation where the Measure Tool doubles the value of the actual dimension in plan. elevation or section. 2009

OK, more info

It does not happen all of the time. It's hard to describe. We have a dimensioned floor plan set to 1/8", our units are Revit defaults, but when we use the measure tool to run a quick dimension, it shows as double the value of the related actual dim. this happens of exterior elevations as well. We use the measure tool to check the height of a window and instead of 4 ft by dim.,it measures 8 ft. high. It's seems like a bug to me.

Are you measuring from a Sheet View? and maybe the Viewport is not active?
