Revit 7 implements a long-awaited API (application programming interface) that should facilitate direct links between the architectural software and other applications such as the structural engineering and MEP programs that Autodesk has in the works .

YAY!! Where can we download the documentation for the API?

Also :

as well as the Revit-based structural engineering and MEP engineering applications that are currently in beta release

This guy confirmed he has seen the Structural and MEP capabilities at its beta stage and he was impressed. Now i'm very excited probably that will be included in version 7.1.

It is just too soon as I expected. Revit team you did a very very good job.

Cheers and thanks.

There's also a thriving Revit community on the AUGI forums (www.augi.com/ (http://www.augi.com/)).

I've been informed by my Oz dealers that it is an internal API not open to outside input!

Still a good article, though.

Thats also my understanding.

Only selected developers / partners get to peek inside and even then, they only see the hooks into structural or mechanical.

Nice review, esp. considering it was written by Ed Goldberg, an ardent ADT guru.
Thanks for the link.
