License unavailable error on standalone workstation

One of my users on a standalone license of Revit Architecture 2009 is suddenly getting an error every time she starts the program:
Revit Architecture 2009 - 20081118_1045
License unavailable. Revit Architecture 2009 is in demo mode.

As soon as she clicks the "register" button, it wakes up and finds the license again. Everything was working fine for months. I don't know of anything on the machine that changed recently to cause this to start happening. Any thoughts?

This same thing just happened to me, this seems to be the only post out there that is similar to my issues. Sad part is that Revit was allowing the user to save all morning, no warnings, no nothing! and then poof! unable to obtain license and the kicker, none of his work this morning actually saved?!

We're working in RAC 2011, sp2. When he shut down revit and restarted, he had his license. Why would a standalone just lose itself?
