What on earth is going on - I am now benhind the rest of the bloody office who I upgraded 2 weeks ago.. NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!

On a side note. If anyone from the UK would to visit www.colinarmstrongprojects.com - and say perhaps use the dropbox facility there to upload the file I could have had 2 weeks ago, and now longer can - I would very much appreciate that - given we have TEN subscriptions and

It did not work correctly in the UK, it caused all kinds of problems, thus it was withdrawn whilst Autodesk fix the beast. When it comes back hopefully it will be bug free. see my blog http://cadalot-revitlearningcurve.blogspot.com/2009/10/advantage-pack-sham-of-mockery-of.html

But I have it running perfectly on 9 machines already....... It installed with no problems at all.

Subscription advantage? - I have edited all of my custom input software to be compatible with the "advantage" pack and now cannot use the brand new £2000 computer sitting gathering effing dust on my desk right now without being really slowed down and editing it again. I ALSO went out on a limb to convince our IT guy and my boss that this time it was a "safe" bet to install this and we should in this case ignore the office policy to wait a few months after a web issue to upgrade - which with past experience has caused us similar nonsense to this.,

I should have trusted my gut and completely ignored the temptation to install a web release as soon as its out , which almost without fail in my experience has caused us more problems than it solves.

Dissapointed and not suprised. Its why I have been away from here so long, its just not worth getting worked up over. Unfortunately though I have been to made look a complete idiot in my office.

What can I tell you, the version I and a lot of others downloaded would not install on RST and if you look on RAC and RST AUGI postings would will find lots of posts about the problems and statements from guys in Autodesk.

Sound like you were very lucky!

I've also wondered about this.

I've still got the original download if Martin wants it, but I figured I might as well wait and get the new version just in case, having just reinstalled RAC 2010 on Windows 7 64 bit.

As Alan says there appeared to be definite UK problems with the structure version, however FWIW, the only problem with the subscription advantage package I could find in RAC 2010 was that it screwed up the 2009 UI - it was usable but the icons didn't match the commands in the 2nd row at the top of the screen.

I was at my resellers today and raised this subject and the official line seemed to be that the subscription advantage package will be available later this month... as though it was never available previously.

Weird.

I have it working fine too, much more likely its a marketing thing I expect Autodesk EMEA want to launch all the languages and disciplines together.
I seem to remember them trying somthing similar with the Revit 9.1 download. They tried to issue only in US and Canada, with UK having to wait along with the rest of the world for the regional versions to be completed. There was uproar and they promised never to try it again. Guess they forgot, and the UK users haven't bothered to complain.

From Autodesk ...

Apparently, there was a decision made by the EMEA local office that they want to officially launch the Subscription Advantage Pack in Europe by the end of November only. The main reason for that is because they want to wait for other translated versions French, Italian, German, etc. to be available as well. So for Europe, local team would like to launch English and other European languages at the same time…

Yes and that is unacceptable and shows how out of touch they are. The advantage pack is the saving grace for 2010 and might actually tempt me to use it more. Although I've got the Advantage Pack I'm holding off using it in the hope that the revised version fixes the 2009UI issue.

Advantage Pack "Multiple Languages" now appears to have been re posted.
