Override/Filter Priorties

Is there any documentation regarding overrides, filters, phasing and the priorities of them? In other words, if I manually override the display of one object, how is that element affected if there is a filter defining it to show as something else and what about phases? Which one wins??

So the priority of these settings is: Override Graphics in view by Element>Override Graphics in View by Filter>View Visibility/Graphics Overrides>Object Styles.
