Existing Phase

How do I draw objects so that they automatically come in on the existing phase instead of new construction?

What I want to do is draw the existing building first. Then flip a switch to New Construction and everything I draw will then be New.

Nevermind. I found out how to do it. SImply set the view properties to existing. Then everything comes in on that phase.
