Will Matchlines Show in Section/Elevations?

Yes matchlines and view references can be used in sections and elevations.

The ones you draw in plan won't show up in section/elevation but you can draw new ones in section/ elev.

On a related note: If you are doing matchlines you probably should do the different area plans or elevations as dependent views. I find this helps a lot if you need to adjust the areas not having to cut and paste annotation. It also lets you use the View Reference tool for calling out the adjacent views.
