We are looking for a software that will enable us to communicate with all who are in our Central file. Kinda like a progress Report, Project History, Communicating with other Central file users, what you have done or messaging whats to be done and so on.

Whats the best little intranet client out there?

Do you use the Worksharing Monitor for Revit?

For written/text communication with the Revit team,
emailing, although obvious, actually works pretty well, or an instant messaging application?

We do use the Worksharing monitor, but I was never able to see what requests I had (Maybe I didn't check thoroughly)
But I will give a try once again....I believe Worksharing monitor should have atleast some communication capabilities....

The work sharing monitor will show you editing requests and notifications. You need to click on the little icon to the right hand side of the dialogue box. It will expand new box's showing this information.

A chat or live communications would be good, We use e-mail mainly.
You could look at MSN Messenger, depending what your internet and chat protocol is at work though.

We've gone to Google Chat for an IM. Works great, and it's free.

Yes, and there are about 100 million other chat clients out there, if that's what you're looking for... :/

I think what nsinha73 (and me as well, in fact) is looking for is an option within the Worksharing Monitor to send a message to everyone working on any given central file that your are working on. Just one click and write. That would be neat.

Unfortunately, I don't thinks that's possible at the moment.
