View Full Version : Plumbing Fixture Connection Parameters

Anybody know what the parameters "CW Connection" "HW Connection" "Vent Connection" and "Waste Connection" are used for? They appear to be yes/no parameters in plumbing fixture families, but I see no use for them.

Also on a side note, it sure would be nice to be able to schedule the connection sizes without modyfing every single OOTB family and adding shared parameters to them. Right now I have to add shared project parameters and manually enter in the data. Not exactly smooth propogation of data across the program...

If you add shared parameters to the family instead of project parameters you will only have to type in the connection sizes once and they will show up in every project file.

They appear to be yes/no parameters in plumbing fixture families, but I see no use for them...I was under the delusion that these correspond to the old matrix schedules I've seen for equipment where each of these items had a column and a place to check "YES I need a connection please" for each connection required. A bit "old school" for BIM land...though.
