new Convert Lines tool - not there yet?

Seems my excitement to find the new Convert Lines tool (detail/symbolic to model and vice versa) was a bit premature. While i'm glad to be able to swap types without a workaround, we can no longer tab-select to grab a chain of lines that have been converted.

Anyone else notice this behavior?

You are not alone. When you convert either way, it breaks the ability to tab-select the whole series of lines again. I tried using Trim to rejoin the lines, but it doesn't work unless you create a gap.
