I know we have 'Isolate Elements or Category". But is there a way to "Isolate" Elements that is associated to a "Level"? I need to move some elements to another level so I can delete the old level, without checking each element on what level they are associated with.

Our fellow AUGI member SFaust created a small application to do what you are looking for. Read it at http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=71280

I hope this helps,

I simply have an appropriate view open (plan or cropped 3D), select the item I want to isolate do a SA then use the temporary isolate elements in view, then window the view to select just what is on that level.

The problem with that is sometimes elements are hosted by a level but have an offset from it, thus appearing to be on another level...

There's nothing wrong with your suggestion. The thing is it works for a few but not all model categories. If you want to select all elements that are hosted by a level, you'd have to include all model categories as part of the filter and by doing that the Level option may become unavailable (try adding the Roof category to the filter and you'll see that the Level option goes away...).

Thanks Andre for the tip I will check it out. The project was started by somebody else who still need more exposure to Revit. The Level I need to delete is only 1 meter below the Level I need to keep. So you understand my problem. Thanks.

This may work with walls or doors. But not on all windows or roof that is sometimes above the cut plane.
