Boss had his Revit 2010 x64 crash a couple of times last night. This is on a brand new Dell Precision box w/ Win7 Professional x64, 12GB RAM, and a 512MB nVIDIA Quadro FX580 graphics card.
Seriously?
I would think this kind of stuff would have been remedied by now. Latest machines and systems, LOADS of RAM, latest drivers, etc. etc. and this kind of junk still happens.

Dose he have the quick access tool bar at the top or below the ribbon. If it's set to below, you'll crash constantly. Just a thought.
FWIW I've got the QAT below the ribbon on Windows 7 64 bit and Revit has been very stable for ages.
I don't customise the ribbon or the qat however - they are just as standard.

I should have mentioned that I'm running 32 bit on XP and RS2010 crashed constantly when the QAT bar was below the "Wack-o-Mole" Ribbon. Moved it to the top, no more problems. I believe others have had the same issue and I believe that Adesk has logged it as kind of a "Know" issue, but I could be wrong. I think there's a few other threads here that mention the same solution.

Okay, boss's machine was crashing when he tried to print to our Xerox machine, which did not have the proper 64-bit printer driver installed, which I added after he had already set up his machine. Printer was deleted and re-installed and it seems to work fine.
I have also had my QAT below the ribbon in 7 and x64 and it was fine, just took up more screen real estate than I liked on my 1280x1024 display.

Well, boss had another crash, and this time it seems to be because our server suddenly dropped all connections for some reason. He had a Revit file on the server (not workshared) open, and apparently when trying to save w/o being connected to the server, Revit just crashed.
Has anyone else experienced this if trying to save a file stored on a server if the connection was lost?
