We have tried several installs of the advantage pack but we only get part of the tools. We are missing the content generator and the wood framing walls. We have asked AutoDESK about the problem but they only say that all the tools are in the advantage pack. I have included a snapshot of our extension manager and as you can see, we are missing those tools.

Does anybody know why these tools may be missing from our load?

Thanks

That screen shot is not part of the SAP. That's the extensions manager, and the tools in it are a separate download from Subscription Center. That download adds an Extensions tab at the top of the ribbon. The SAP only adds the Structure tab.

According to what we downloaded: "Revit® Extensions extend the capabilities of Autodesk® Revit® Architecture 2010 software in key areas, including modeling, coordination, and documentation. This pack contains updates to previously released Revit Extensions as well as 2 new features:..." invcludes those two tools.

So we installed: RevitExt.rtf and autodesk_revit_architecture_2010_subscription_update_x86_enu.exe

And others that have a successful download see the attached image which is not the same as what we have above.

We ran this one as well: revitextensionsrac2010.exe... we will look to see if there is some other name.

Im not sure what solution came out of this but i am having the same issue. I have no wood framing tools in extension manager or on the ribbon. The demo from Autodesk shows them picking it from External Tools and its not there either. Any one get this fixed?

Looks like you have the earlier extensions you need Q 3
The Autodesk subscription page says
"This pack contains updates to previously released Revit Extensions as well as 2 new features:

* Content generator—Programmatically generate structural steel, concrete, and wood section families for beams, columns, and materials based on national standards databases.
* Wood framing—More quickly and precisely model a wood frame structure within interior and exterior walls. Models can be automatically generated based on user-defined parameters.

This download includes the Extensions Engine, a platform that hosts each extension within Revit Architecture 2010."

FYI...

The original 2010 extensions are still available on the subscription download page. To get the "q3" fie, click the link for the Subscription Advantage Pack first, then the link, "Revit Extensions for Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010."

The page for the Subscription Advantage Pack has a list of just what's included in it plus the extension.

The video is also helpful.

Is there a 64bit version of this, or some trick to getting it to install with the 64bit version of Revit?

I had no problems installing it for either Vista 64bit or Win7 64bit
