I have 2 columns with stone pattern fill. In elevation prints, they appear correct. However when I print camera views, the fill patterns turn solid black. Any suggestions to correct this problem?

Thanks

Mr. Jim Balding,

Any thought on this?

Does the rendered pattern look OK on screen , or is it just a problem when you print ?

Have you applied a model stone pattern as the surface pattern and an Accurender material texture when rendered ?

Can you post some images of what you have, with details of the patterns and materials applied and the rendering settings. ?

I'm assuming when you refer to a camera view, you are referring to a rendered perspective, or are we talking just the shaded perspective view ?

Here is a look at a camera view I replicated this problem on;
It appears to be linked to the region fill I am using on my roof, and the blackness is the color
of the fill I have selected. If I change the fill to orange, so goes the roof
in a camera view. It prints just like this, and does not
use the filled region pattern. Is this because we are not using
model fills?

Thanks beeg, and anyone else that chimes in.

Hi Beegee,

The pattern also appears black on hte screen. It looks just like BillyGrey's attachment. The stone pattern I am using was from rugi. It is the "stsstn" pattern. The stone pattern is a drafting type. The image is a rendered perspective in the hidden line view. It also appears black when I display it in shaded view. In the material setting, the colour I have selected is black.

Thanks for your help Beegee.

You need to use model patterns for surf. patterns not drafting.

Like Scott said, Drafting patterns are usually used for symbolic fills like concrete or crosshatch, whereas Model patterns describe real world objects like roof tiles, brick coursing etc.
