Country Specific Templates - New Zealand.

Does ASD automatically install a set of country specific templates? Or does the installation need to be configured to suit specific countries...?

We are trying to set up ASD to New Zealand conditions.

I am aware that standards can be set by going to the ASD Model Tab, then Settings, then Project Settings, but am unabel to locate a NZ specific template.

Maybe we have to create our own template?

Any help would be appreciated.

At the moment I am not aware of any NZ specific, there are two Australian profiles, one which contains some standard sizes and another which references One Steel and Lysaght profiles.

You can create additional files as these are access files, which you can then add a new standard in, however unless you already have all the information in a database format this will take abit of time.

I would email the product guys on this one as my dealings in the past have shown them to be more then willing in helping out setup specific informaiton.

I have contacted Autodesk support.

There is a donwload on the subscription centre that is AU / NZ reinforcement "template" and "library."

I am still not 100% convinced with it though... and still no luck with the steel sizes.

In the ASD Steel ribbon, click "project preferences, and select the profiles tab.

In the profiles menu, click the first button (on the top left hand side of the window) , this will open the section databse window.

Scroll down to NZL and click ok.

In the database window, select NZL Pro (this will now add a RED arrow next to the NZL Pro database.

Once the NZ Database is loaded, the user should delete all other databases from ASD, via the profiles section in project preferences.

Click ok.

The Steelwork database is now loaded.

The reinforcement database is available via a patch, however, this isn't 100% in line with NZ Standards for reinforced concrete.

I have sent a request to Autodesk, and they are looking at creating and releasing a new patch to update the reinforcement.
