Door Tags Changing with Multiple Floors on Sheet

We have a sheet that has both the 2nd and 3rd floor plans on the same sheet. When we use the project navigator to drag and drop the 2nd floor plan view onto the sheet it works fine. When we drag and drop the 3rd floor plan view on to the same sheet the 2nd floor door tags change to reflect the 3rd floor numbers. We have tried plain xref and cutting viewports to no effect. We have changed the insertion points of the xrefs to reflect the true elevation of the two different floors (2nd 14' and 3rd 28'). This did not help. We tried moving the xrefs to different X,Y coordinates and that caused the tags to say space not found. Anyone have any suggestions? Of course this is two days before a 90% submittal. Argh!

Are you using standard door tags or project based door tags? I use the standard door tags and have 2 levels on the same sheet and it works fine.

They are standard. The door tag is pulling the SpaceObjects:Number which is a manual property of the SpaceObject and adding the DoorObjects NumberSuffix.
