Could anyone offer up some help here. I am trying to copy soffit walls from 1 floor level to another in a building that has eight levels some of which are existing as this is an addition to an existing building. For example this is what happens. I select paste by level, lets say lab level 2 and the item comes in on the correct level but then when I check the offset level it is wrong and is based off lab level 2 exist. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks

You could try an alternative way:
Group all of the soffit walls.
Then, in a section or elevation, use the actual Copy command and check disjoin,
(in lieu of copying to clipboard) and select the Group.
Then, select multiple copy, and manually copy them up to each level, snapping on the Level indicator line.
I think what is happening when you "copy/paste aligned to level" is the soffit walls are constrained w/ a base offset from the lower floor level- and Revit is "remembering" that offset? Using disjoin with the copy cammand may "free up" that constraint.
Just a thought.....
cheers
