The Revit default for Wall Joins is, and always has been, Butt Join.
I've often wondered - Why not Miter?
I've been doing a lot of Split Face/Paint lately, and that Butt Join condition always messes with you. If you're trying to Paint going around a corner, you usually need to do three Paints. One for the main part of each Wall, and then another stupid little section on the end of the Wall that's been "Butted".
Wouldn't it be simpler to use Miter and have a clean corner? Or would that fix the Paint problem, and create a Callout problem. That's the only downside I can see - the Layers may not Wrap as expected with Miter.
And, if Miter does work better, is there any way to make it a Project default?
