I have designed an infill (between 2 buildings) and for the adjacent buildings i have simply added a cad drawing and put them on the face of solids.

However when i try to render the building the cad drawing disappears.

any help would be much appreciated..

Hey there and welcome to the forums!
I am not aware of any way to use cad files in a rendering; however, you can place decals on a wall face or reference plane and then render them. Remember, decals can be any of the accepted image files. (jpg, tiff, bmp)

Good luck and I hope this helps

Steve is correct--a decal will work.

In Autocad, save an image of the cad drawing you need to have show up in the rendering.

Then, in Revit place that image as a decal on the face of the model.

It will now show up in the rendering.

cheers.......

BTW--just curious, why do you need a cad dwg to appear in the rendering?

Could also overlay a line view with its rendering in PhotoShop or such.
