Selection Jitters

When I select something (mostly in sheets) I get ghosts of the selection all over the screen, see attached.

Has anyone else seen this? It happens sometimes, but I cant figure out what causes it.

It's a 2010 issue. Not really an "issue" as it doesn't affect the program's operation, but more of an annoyance, really.
