Does anyone have a nice solution to reduce the file sizes for exported walkthroughs?

We would like to be able to e-mail some early design models to the client in a walkthrough or sun study format, however the file sizes are way too large and when we use the Revit compression, the images are ordinary.

Is there a "best practice" or a 3rd party application that can help with that?

If you are working on Windows vista, you can use the windows movie maker. Just import the AVI file and then publish it to a .wmv format which is much smaller than the original AVI file.

Why not send them the link to Design review and send then a dwf? They then have a full model to look at and wont be able to mess with your file.

Thanks guys.
What we have ended up doing is using Adobe to play with the codecs. We can get a 30 sec walkthrough from 600mg down to 8 with minimal effort and we can add titles and effects.

I do like dwf files, but the client just isn't that savy with computers of files like that.

Thanks again.

Hello,

We are also currently trying to put together a walkthrough of about that size. Which Adobe product did you use to shrink the file size that much?
