Hi,

I am working on a retail store interior with several different ceilings: some existing to remain and some new. I have given the different ceilings "type marks" of CLG-1, ACT-1, etc. Ceilings which are constructed the same have the same type mark (i.e. "CLG-3"). This seems to work well with a ceiling type mark tag (which came with Revit) on my RCP.

I have created a ceiling schedule. Unfortunately, it is listing multiple items for the same type mark...one item for each ceiling rather than one for each type mark. How do I get it to only list one of each type mark?

Also, what is the difference between a "type mark" and a "mark"? Accordingly, what is "type comments" vs. "comments"?

I am using Revit 2009.

Thanks,
Derek

I have sorted by Type Mark and unclicked "itemize every instance". That seems to have eliminated duplicates from my schedule.

So, to follow up on this since I haven't really found the answer to my dillema yet. How do you make the schedule read a number for each type instead of the actual type description? We generally label them as follows -

1 - GWB on blah blah . . .
2 - Open to blah blah blah. . .
3 - and so on and so on.

See where I'm headed with that?

I believe you'd have to set your Type Mark to 1, 2, 3 etc for that to work.
