Editing a floor

Is there a reason that when i go to edit a floor I can't see any of the boundary lines? I did join the floor to the walls and I'm wondering if that's causing the problem?

I just found the boundary lines for my 3rd floor in my roof view. But when I check the elevations and sections, the floor is at the 3rd floor level. Any idea why this is happening?

Check your visibility graphics to make sure you don't have lines turned off.

also, how can i stop things on my first floor that don't carry through above from showing though on my upper floors? Is this a visibility setting also?

This probably has to do with your view range for the upper level plans, as well as visibility graphics. For instance, if your second floor plan has floors turned off and the bottom of your view range extends low enough to catch items on the first floor, then you're going to see those elements.
