Notching a stair stringer

How do you notch a stair stringer at a landing where the stair contiues?

Not supported, as far as I know.

If you need to model this, you can do an in-place family, create a sweep in a 3d view by picking the stringer edge(s) for the path, and the profile to match the stair stringer.

Then create a void to cut your new stringer (and to clean up the top & bottom ends).

Finish the family, then go to the stair properties and turn off the relevant stringer(s) you traced, i.e. left, right.
