Occasionally users on a project I am supported will get an error message when they open the project.

The journal file could not be run to completion. Utilize care in saving any work as the project may be in an unstable state.

They are given a single option to "Enter interactive mode".

Now I agree that this project is most likely "in an unstable state" given the amount of warnings we currently have. But does anyone know why we are getting this specific warning? No one is running a journal file explicitly. There's probably only one other person then me in the office that has any idea what a journal file is and how to run one.

Try opening the Central File and click the Audit box.

This will expose any corruption and attempt to resolve dependencies, etc.

Does this help?

cheers.......

Ive never seen that warning.... Except when someone was trying to run a journal file that encountered an unexpected command or prompt.

You suuuuuuure theyre not running journals trying to get work back that they lost or something?

Are you using the Revit Launcher script from David Kingham to create your local files?
