is it all rite 2 use floor commands 2 make roads and pavements for site or is it better 2 use massing & site?

You can use Floors, Pads, or Subregions--each has its own advantage/disadvantage.

If it's any encouragement I always use floors for the external areas immediately around my small projects as they are far more controllable than topos.

I just use topos for larger sites or when I have been given digital site survey data or when there is a need to calculate cut and fill.

If you do use a floor to create external spaces you can turn off the triangulation lines in Views by
Visibility Graphics->Floors->untick 'Interior Edges'
