In a section or plan I want to make wall or floor lines invisible using the linework tool.

But the lines go grey instead of invisible.

It happens when the wall or floor consists of more than one material.

EG a stud frame with the sheeting battened out or a slab with a membrane and a sand blinding layer.

The lines go grey not invisible regardles of how many times I select.

This has become an issue for me as well. Are there any solutions or work-arounds for this?

Ever find a fix for this? I am having the same issue.

The linework tool only works on the edges of elements. So you can't use it on lines that define the interior layers of a wall. You'll have to look for another tool to do what you're trying to show graphically - Coarse Detail Level, Edit Cut Profile, Visibility/Graphics, Filters, etc.

Try creating a new linetype which is white in colour and then using the linework tool. This gives the effect of an invisible line.

White line type for the win!!!
