View Full Version : UNC path instead of drive letters?

Anyone know if Autodesk products directly support UNC pathing instead of drive letters?

We are currently using DFS.

I am convinced that DFS is causing some delay with read/write/lock of design files.

We get the dreaded, unable to save, somebody else has the file open.

I would like to try and get down to just one(1) network drive letter for general use.

All the design files would be part of UNC pathing from the various offices instead of a multitude of drive letters or using DFS to unify the offices together thru Riverbed under one(1) drive letter.

Thanks for any input.

We use UNC paths and one DFS reference for support paths.
Drawings are opened using UNC paths.
No problems AFAIK.
